Herbal Medicine

The oldest system of natural healing and medicine known to man.

Herbal Medicine...

...is the practice of studying, understanding and utilizing natural, plant-based herbs, to treat many common and not-so-common ailments.

The practice of Herbal Medicine is undertaken by trained herbalists – also known as Medical herbalists – who have undergone a regulated and qualifying program of in-depth study of plants and plant extracts, their chemical and phyto-chemical functions, and how these can be utilized in, and for the effective treatment of ailments and various conditions of ill-health.

The practice of Herbal Medicine approaches ill-health and treatment, from a root-cause point of view, in addition to a fully holistic approach – one which seeks to understand the fundamental cause or causes of the ailment(s), addressing these directly, but with a view to total, comprehensive and holistic health of the client, not just of the symptom.

In view of natural, plant-based and other sources that underpin the practice of herbal medicine, it is equally applicable to both children and adults, thus strengthening its appeal to people across all age brackets.
